Velocity Paintball Christmas Scenario

Mission 1 Game time: 2 hours; respawns every 15 minutes.
 Grinch and his evil elves must steal Christmas from Whoville. Santa and his elves must recover stolen items and protect Whoville.
Primary objectives: (2) Christmas trees (250 pts each), (4) tree decorations (75 pts each), (10) brightly packaged presents (55 pts each) Total objective points: 1350
Grinch team is to bring items back to Grinch base, decorate the trees and assemble presents under the trees. Santa team is to defend Whoville and return stolen items to Whoville.
Secondary objectives: 5 stockings (50 pts each) and 2 stars (100 pts each) Total secondary objective points: 450
The team with the most points for items kept in their base wins Mission 1.

Mission 2 Game time: 2 hours; respawns every 15 minutes.
 The Grinch has stolen Santa’s reindeer and the Santa team must retrieve them!
Primary objectives: (1) Dasher (150 pts), (1) Dancer (150 pts), (1) Prancer (150 pts), (1) Vixen (150 pts), (1) Comet (150 pts), (1) Cupid (150 pts), (1) Donner (150 pts), (1) Blitzen (150 pts), (1) Rudolph (150 pts) Total primary objective points: 1350
Santa team must recover reindeer and place them at their base. Grinch team must recover reindeer and throw them into a pile at the Grinch base.
Secondary objectives: Santa’s team must recover Christmas dessert; (3) pumpkin pies (100 pts each) and (1) Fruitcake (150 pts)
Total secondary objective points: 450
*Anyone eliminated near a reff that can recite the first verse of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer correctly can wave respawn. After reciting it correctly they can report to respawn reff and return to game. (If you don’t recite correctly report to dead box, wait for respawn)
The team with the most points for items kept in their base wins Mission 2.

Supporting roles:
MEDICS: Can be killed by paintball or grenade. Medics will wear red Medic Shirts. Medics chosen on site on the day of the scenario and there will be 3 medics per side. Medics must set down their marker to heal another player. Hit players can be healed within 30 seconds of being hit. Head shots can not be healed. There is one medic wearing white that can heal either side. Same rules apply for hits and elimination. Medics CANNOT heal each other.

GRENADIERS: Any player possessing a paintball grenade. Use grenades to eliminate Abominable Snowmen and other players. Any player and/or Abominable Snowman hit with paint from a grenade is eliminated. Snowmen can ONLY be eliminated by grenade.

PLAYERS:
MUST wear long pants.
MUST have paintball approved goggles with face protection.
Are allowed to carry one semi automatic paintball marker and one Paintball pistol (optional) -OR- 2 paintball pistols.
Paintball Grenades are allowed for elimination of Abominable snowmen, as many as you can carry.

Secret objectives: All Points are team points.
Not really secret, but are able to be completed at any time during the entire scenario game. All must be done only once unless otherwise stated.

Santa (the general) must find a plate of cookies and milk and keep it with him at all times for the remainder of the event for 200 pts. If Santa is eliminated he does NOT lose the points. If he still has them at the end of the event the team is awarded another 200 pts. Santa General will also be carrying the teams’ flag and MUST keep it with him/her at all times. The flag will also designate forward movement of the team.

Grinch (the general) must find stuffed dog with antlers attached and keep it with him at all times for the remainder of the event. If the Grinch is eliminated, he does NOT lose the points. If he still has the dog with the antlers attached at the end of the event the team is awarded another 200 pts. Grinch General will also be carrying the teams’ flag and MUST keep it with him/her at all times. The flag will also designate forward movement of the team.

“The Night before Christmas” Players from either side must find the storybook and recite in its entirety to the nearest referee for 300 pts. The player cannot move, shoot, throw grenades, heal other players (if reciting player is a medic) or stop reciting until it is completed. If player is eliminated before finished, the task is not completed. This task may be attempted multiple times until completed. There are 3 books hidden so this could be MAJOR points!

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (Mission 2 ONLY) *Anyone eliminated near a reff that can recite the first verse of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer correctly can wave respawn. After reciting it correctly they can report to respawn reff and return to game. (If you don’t recite correctly report to dead box, wait for respawn)

Spy Points: Capturing either of the teams General’s items (plate of cookies with milk or the dog with the antlers or either team’s flag) and bringing it to a referee gets their team 200 pts. 400pts total if both items from the opposing team is captured.

Assassin points: Eliminate the opposing general. When general checks into dead box, opposing team is awarded 300 pts.

Perfectionist points: Team that completes every objective in their mission and collects all hidden secondary objectives is awarded 300 points.

Costume points: Each side is awarded 20 pts per costumed player.

Generosity points: Team that donates the most toys will receive 500 pts at the lunch break. Toys and other items are given to Ramona Pregnancy Care Clinic.

Penalties: If you are caught with your goggles off, over shooting or swearing you are eliminated and MUST go to the dead box. If you are caught in the parking lot or the dead box with out a barrel plug you must sit through another respawn cycle (15 mins). Players caught wiping- Offending player is sent to dead box MUST sit through 2 respawn cycles (30 mins). Not going to dead box = eliminated from Game completely.

Abominable Snowmen: Abominable Snowmen roam playing fields randomly attacking players on both sides with paintball marker and rocket-launched grenades. The snowman will enter the game to keep the sides balanced. One time he may be helping your team another time he could be against your team. The snowman is on the field for a limited time and can be eliminated by SHOOTING HIM IN THE BACK or BY GRENADE. The Abominable Snowman will randomly appear each Mission for 5 minutes or until they are eliminated. Killing the Abominable Snowman is worth 450 points to the killing team.

REINSERTIONS: EVERY 15 MINUTES. The reinsertions will be 5 minutes open and 15 minutes closed. This will provide maximum amount of play while also slowing the return of dead players. The last 20 minutes of each mission the respawn will be open. Report to respawn reff and re-enter the game.

DEADBOXES:
Deadboxes will be the entrance roads from the parking lot. There will be a clock at each of these areas timing the insertion periods.
The Santa Deadbox is the EAST road.
The Grinch Deadbox is the WEST road.
(if you are in the parking lot facing the hill. East is to your left and West is to your right.)

REINSERTION AREAS:
Players must move to the reinsertion points before the clock reaches open. Start moving with 5 minutes to go.
The Santa reinsertion point for Mission 1 is the EAST side of the field = Big Hyperball.
The Grinch reinsertion point for Mission 1 is the WEST side of the field = Small Hyperball.
(if you are in the parking lot facing the hill. East is to your left and West is to your right.)

Other RULES:
The Start and End of the Missions will be designated by an Air Horn. 2 blasts for the START and 3 blasts for FINISH.
One long blast means CEASE FIRE for an emergency. Please stop firing and lay your markers down on the ground. Hold your position and wait for instructions.

Whistles will be used to signal start and end a respawn. OPEN 5 mins every 15 mins.

Noise makers will be used at the top of the hill or any area of the field where there is a large fire fight. If you hear the noise makers cease fire and hold your position. Teams are trying to remove their eliminated players from the field.

If a player leaves the field for any reason, elimination, air refill, paint refill, repair to equipment, restroom break you are considered eliminated. Please wait at deadbox to respawn.

BASES:
Grinch Base for Mission One is the house behind Speedball. (BASE 1)
Santa Base for Mission One is the fortress at Field 8. (BASE2)
This is where all Mission objects should be brought and guarded.

These will be swapped for Mission 2.
